This Privacy Policy explains how ORSPEX ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit https://orspex.netlify.app/ (the "Site") or use any of our software products.

            Short version: We collect minimal anonymous data to understand how visitors use our Site. We never sell your data. Our desktop software runs entirely offline on your own computer.
        

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

We only collect personal information you voluntarily submit to us, such as:

Your email address when you contact us at orpexexitus@gmail.com
Your WhatsApp number when you message us on WhatsApp
Your name and payment details when you purchase through Gumroad (processed entirely by Gumroad — see Section 3)

1.2 Information collected automatically (Google Analytics)

When you visit the Site, we use Google Analytics 4 (property ID: G-3WKJ59XKN7) to collect anonymous usage data, including:

Pages you visit and time spent
Approximate location (country/city level — not your exact address)
Device type, operating system, and browser
Referral source (how you found us)
IP address (anonymized — we have enabled IP anonymization)

This data is aggregated and cannot be used to personally identify you.

1.3 Information we do NOT collect

We do not store your payment card details
We do not track you across other websites
We do not collect any data from inside our desktop software (Business Suite, Business Companion, PDF Compressor) — these run entirely offline

2. How We Use Your Information

To respond to your inquiries and support requests
To process purchases and provide license keys (via Gumroad)
To analyze site traffic and improve user experience
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Gumroad (payment processing)

When you purchase ORSPEX Business Suite for $50, the transaction is processed by Gumroad. Gumroad collects your email, payment information, and country as required for the transaction. We never see or store your full payment card details. See Gumroad's Privacy Policy.

3.2 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site traffic. Google may process your data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

3.3 Netlify (hosting)

Our Site is hosted by Netlify. Netlify may log basic access data (IP address, browser, page requested) for security and performance monitoring. See Netlify's Privacy Policy.

3.4 GitHub (file downloads)

PDF Compressor Windows downloads are hosted on GitHub. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies (via Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the Site. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies.

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

5. Data Retention

Analytics data: Retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default)
Email inquiries: Retained until your request is resolved, then deleted within 90 days
Gumroad purchase records: Retained by Gumroad per their policy — see their Privacy Policy

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction: Request we correct inaccurate data
Deletion: Request we delete your data (subject to legal obligations)
Objection: Object to processing of your data
Opt-out of analytics: Use the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on

7. Children's Privacy

Our Site and software are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Data Transfers

Our services (Netlify, Google, Gumroad, GitHub) may transfer and process data in the United States and other countries. By using our Site, you consent to these transfers.

9. Security

We use HTTPS encryption on all pages. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
